About The Position

As a HealthMarket Clerk at Hy-Vee, you'll be an important part of one of our most unique and growing departments. In this role, you'll help keep products fresh, the department clean and well-stocked, and customers feeling welcomed and well taken care of every time they visit. Requirements
- Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence
- Use basic math skills for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
- Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way
- Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy department
- Less than a high school diploma or equivalent accepted
- Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas
- Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
Nice To Haves
- Up to six months of similar or related work experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and making them feel welcome throughout the store
- Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requests to the team
- Help educate customers by offering product suggestions and answering questions
- For homeopathic and natural wellness products, assist customers by helping them locate and access products, without providing medical instruction or advice on product use
- Monitor product freshness and appearance throughout your shift and replenish and rotate product as needed
- Anticipate daily product needs and follow or develop a production list to stay ahead
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed
- Follow proper sanitation procedures and keep your work area clean and organized at all times
- Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department
- Work alongside your teammates to ensure a smooth, positive experience for every customer
- Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies
- Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed
