About The Position

Serve as a workstream lead supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) client through major technology modernization initiatives. Lead and support a team focused on modernization efforts that advance dashboards, automation, data architecture, and related technology-enabled solutions. Translate ambiguous client needs into structured problem solving by framing the problem, developing hypotheses, designing the workplan, and driving execution, including task planning, analysis, synthesis, and risk/issue escalation. Work with client stakeholders to assess needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape solutions that support operational performance. Develop client-ready deliverables, presentations, and analyses that clearly communicate insights, recommendations, and progress. Facilitate stakeholder engagement by planning and leading working sessions, interviews, and workshops; synthesizing inputs; and managing workstream communications with client and internal stakeholders. Partner with cross-functional teams to support transformation efforts, coordinate priorities, and contribute to future growth opportunities tied to the portfolio of work. Coach and mentor junior staff through thoughtful delegation, quality review, and actionable feedback, raising the bar on analytical rigor and client-ready communication. Contribute to internal capability building, including templates, accelerators, and thought leadership, and support proposals/capture efforts as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting and/or healthcare industry roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare strategy, technology, and/or transformation.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with technology.
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams, build client-ready deliverables, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Proven ability to lead others.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (i.e. US Citizenship required).
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal health programs (VA strongly preferred), including working in complex stakeholder environments and navigating technology modernization efforts.
  • MBA/MHA/MPH or other relevant advanced degree.
