About The Position

Abernathy Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable students to support seniors in Stoneham, Malden, Medford, and surrounding communities as Homemakers, Personal Care Aides (PCAs), and Home Health Aides (HHAs). This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain meaningful experience in healthcare, develop essential skills such as communication, caregiving, time management, and interpersonal abilities, all while working around your academic schedule. We understand the demands of student life and offer flexible scheduling, short shifts, and additional hours during breaks.

Requirements

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

• HHA or PCA certification preferred, but not required for all positions
• Students and recent graduates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and social engagement
• Assisting with meal preparation
• Light housekeeping and household support
• Helping clients remain safe and independent in their homes
• Assisting with errands and daily routines
• Supporting clients with non-medical personal care (for qualified caregivers)
