About The Position

Provides clinical services to patients, such as immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM) interventions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. The role supports a positive patient experience by offering assistance, resolving issues, answering questions, anticipating patient needs, and promoting awareness of Walgreens healthcare services. The pharmacist also ensures compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policy and applicable state and federal controlled-substance laws when filling prescriptions. The pharmacist maintains required licensing, credentials, certifications, and knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare developments, and completes company-required education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients, including immunizations and MTM interventions, in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
• Greet patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve patient issues in a timely manner, and answer questions.
• Model and share patient-service best practices with team members, including courteous, empathetic, and inclusive interactions.
• Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer services; promote awareness of patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient-outcomes services.
• Apply all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy alongside state and federal controlled-substance laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintain current knowledge and required licensing, credentialing, and certifications to provide clinical services.
• Keep pharmacy and healthcare knowledge current through relevant journals, company publications, and communications; remain aware of retail and management developments and pursue performance-enhancing best practices.
• Complete required certifications, education credits, training, and company learning modules.
