About The Position

We are looking for a Dining Room Server who brings professionalism and heart to every meal. In this role, you will serve residents and guests with care, carrying out our signature “Living in Style” program. This position involves greeting and seating residents and guests, taking meal and beverage orders, serving requested items, maintaining dining areas, following cleaning schedules, assisting with training new team members, practicing safety and loss prevention procedures, and maintaining high standards of appearance, cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene. You will also support the mission and values of the community and Catholic social teachings, and perform other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor. Reliability, punctuality, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be able to read and write in English.
Follow instructions with a positive attitude
Ability to maintain composure and manage stress in the workplace.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment
Effectively communicate with Residents, guests, employees, and supervisors
Must be able to work weekends, Holidays and for pre-planned special events
Must be able to sit, stand for prolong period of time, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist.
Must be able to lift and push up to 50 pounds at a time

Responsibilities

Greeting and seating Residents and Guests.
Responsible for taking meal/beverage orders and serving requested items according to established policies.
Maintain all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy.
Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
Assist with orientation and training of new food servers.
Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
Attend all in-services as required.
Supports the Mission and Values of the community and Catholic social teachings.
Perform all other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen leadership.
Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, store food and supplies properly.
Adhere to state and facility food handling regulations, including proper storage, preparation, and serving practices.
