Healthcare Security Officer FT
About The Position
Provide safety and security for patients, staff, visitors, and property in a healthcare setting. Maintain a professional, calm presence and deliver strong customer service. Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to stand/walk for long periods and work listed schedule
- Meet licensing, background check, and other screening requirements
Nice To Haves
- Security/healthcare experience preferred
- Good communication and customer service skills
- No experience necessary! If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.
Responsibilities
- Patrol facility and monitor entrances/exits
- Control access and check in visitors
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Assist staff with difficult situations and help de-escalate
- Write clear incident and daily activity reports
- Follow all site policies and privacy requirements
