About The Position

Healthcare Security Officer (Unarmed) Join a Team That Makes a Difference IC Security is hiring Healthcare Security Officers to support hospitals and healthcare facilities. This position focuses on patient safety, customer service, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff Officers will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, observe and report safety concerns, and use de-escalation techniques to promote a secure and welcoming healthcare environment

Requirements

• Valid California Driver’s License
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
• High School Diploma or higher
• Current Baton Permit/Card
• Current Handcuff Permit
• Healthcare vaccinations or immunizations, including TB, MMR, and Varicella
• Must pass a Live Scan background investigation and client approval process
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Must have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of Healthcare or Hospital Security experience
• 2+ years of Security Officer experience
• Customer Service or Hospitality experience
• Military or Law Enforcement experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital and healthcare facilities
• Maintain a visible security presence
• Assist patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
• Observe and report suspicious activity and safety concerns
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents
• Utilize de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques
• Assist with access control and visitor management
• Coordinate with healthcare staff, supervisors, and law enforcement
