About The Position

The Healthcare Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing healthcare sales team focused on growing market share, increasing revenue, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role combines sales leadership, coaching, recruiting, account development, and business development responsibilities to drive profitable growth within the healthcare market throughout the Triangle and Eastern North Carolina. The Healthcare Sales Manager is a hands-on leader who actively coaches salespeople, participates in customer relationships and sales opportunities, develops talent, and ensures the team executes against established sales strategies and performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of successful sales experience, preferably within the contract furniture, healthcare, commercial interiors, or related industry.
  • Previous experience leading, coaching, and developing sales professionals.
  • Strong recruiting and talent development skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Financial and business acumen with the ability to understand profitability and business performance metrics.
  • Experience utilizing CRM and sales pipeline management tools.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Healthcare sales team to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, sales reviews, and field visits.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Celebrate individual and team successes while addressing performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure roles, responsibilities, and career development plans are clearly defined for all Healthcare sales team members.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute annual Healthcare sales plans designed to achieve revenue and profit growth objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Healthcare sales team, including pipeline reviews, opportunity management, forecasting, and sales performance tracking.
  • Participate in key customer meetings, sales calls, and relationship-building activities with decision-makers and influencers.
  • Support the development and execution of account plans for strategic Healthcare customers.
  • Assist salespeople in identifying, pursuing, and closing major project opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a formal strategy to win targeted competitive Healthcare accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product and service sales within existing Healthcare accounts.
  • Maintain visibility into key opportunities and ensure appropriate resources are aligned to maximize win rates.
  • Support the growth of Storr's Healthcare business throughout the Triangle and Eastern North Carolina.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Engage with the local A&D and commercial real estate communities to strengthen Storr's market presence.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, competitive activity, and emerging customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Steelcase and other manufacturer partners to support sales growth and customer engagement.
  • Partner with Design, Project Coordination, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Design leadership to support Healthcare product strategies and market initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and sales processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, forecasting accuracy, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide regular updates on progress toward annual business plan objectives and sales goals.
  • Utilize CRM and sales management tools to drive accountability and visibility across the Healthcare sales team.
