About The Position

A leading international law firm is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising healthcare providers, health systems, physician groups, private equity sponsors, and other healthcare industry participants on sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of healthcare regulatory, healthcare transactional, or healthcare compliance experience
  • Experience with Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and related healthcare regulations
  • Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work directly with clients
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience advising hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health providers, or other healthcare organizations preferred
  • Experience supporting healthcare transactions, affiliations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives is preferred
  • Experience conducting regulatory due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Advising healthcare providers, health systems, physician groups, private equity sponsors, and other healthcare industry participants on sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Supporting healthcare transactions, affiliations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Conducting regulatory due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
  • Providing practical, business-focused advice to clients.
