About The Position

Willow Valley Communities (WVC) is seeking a friendly, professional Part-Time Healthcare Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for our community. In this role, you will operate a multiline telephone system, assist visitors and Residents, and support Team Members through a variety of clerical and communication functions—both in person and by phone. If you enjoy helping others, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to a positive healthcare setting, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose of callers, and route calls to appropriate Team Members or departments.
  • Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when appropriate Team Members are unavailable.
  • Answer questions about the organization and provide callers with addresses, directions, and additional information.
  • Welcome on-site visitors, determine the nature of their visit, and notify the appropriate Team Members.
  • Monitor visitor access and issue passes when required.
  • Assist with Resident appointments, which may vary by building (e.g., beauty shop, physician visits, transportation to appointments).
  • Receive, sort, route, and distribute mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain business machines.
  • Create, print, and distribute memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Respond promptly to alarms by summoning assistance or providing support as appropriate.
  • Monitor entrances and elevators for potential elopements.
  • Maintain monies and documentation for the cash box and Resident funds, which may vary by building.
  • Complete admission and discharge notifications.
  • Assist in the emergency response system.
  • Model exemplary customer service and demonstrate the MORE values toward Team Members and Residents.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and educational environment for Team Members.
  • Ensure consistency among Supportive Living Communities in all operations, policies, and procedures.
