About The Position

Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors is hiring a full-time, entry-level Healthcare Real Estate Analyst to start in Summer 2026. This role is for a motivated self-starter with an interest in commercial real estate, healthcare, or finance. The analyst will be part of a team creating deliverables and resources for clients, contributing to analyses, research, and the development of company-wide systems and processes. The position offers training and exposure to all levels of the firm. This is a salaried, full-time position based in the Chicago Loop office.

Requirements

  • Located in, or ability to relocate to, Chicago
  • Senior undergraduate or recent graduate in the past year
  • Business major – real estate, finance, economics, accounting; Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • 1 – 2 years of professional or internship experience in commercial real estate, finance, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Deep understanding of finance including time value of money, discounted cash flows, IRRs, NPVs, annuities, etc.
  • Strong business writing skills; ability to persuasively write about data related to investment opportunities
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasker)
  • Organized and strong attention to detail; Positive attitude and a team player

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge and interest in the seniors housing and care industry
  • Prior experience with Argus or Argus certification
  • Classroom or prior job experience creating and leading presentations

Responsibilities

  • Attend onboarding and training sessions to learn about the healthcare real estate niche within commercial real estate.
  • Analyze and research markets (competition, comparable sales, demographics, etc.) in collaboration with analytic and business development teams to complement Blueprint’s valuation strategies.
  • Analyze, organize, and model financial data provided by clients to estimate market valuation of healthcare properties.
  • Create offering materials or presentations in support of business development or the firm’s ongoing transactions.
  • Collects, inputs, organizes and accurately maintains information in company resources such as our proprietary portal.
  • Maintains accurate information in an up-to-date, organized fashion in company data storage resources, such as Box or company servers.
  • Learns and utilizes Blueprint’s standard software resources and databases, which include, but are not limited to: Box, proprietary portal, CoStar, NICMAP Vision, Definitive Healthcare, American Hospital Directory, Argus, Senior Care Acquisition Report, and/or other applications that may be purchased or developed in the future.
  • Maintains current knowledge of market conditions, asset valuation metrics, property values, debt terms, legislation and other relevant factors affecting healthcare real estate, particularly conditions impacting seniors housing, skilled nursing, behavioral health and MOB assets.
  • Works within direction provided by supervisors and advisors to generate timely analyses, reports and presentations that include, but are not limited to: asset valuations, market research analyses, client proposals, or offering memorandums.
  • Develops financial and underwriting models, which may include forward-looking (pro forma) scenarios, in order to evaluate market value of commercial real estate and/or operating companies.
  • Generates market research analyses as needed, which may include but are not limited to: rental/competitive market studies; comparable sale studies, demographic studies, hospital discharge and referral studies and/or other studies.
  • Abstracts leases for single-tenant and multi-tenant commercial real estate assets; accurately builds out rent rolls based upon lease abstracts.
  • Creates presentations such as proposals for internal or external stakeholders, valuations, presentation decks, offering memorandums, Request for Proposals (RFP’s) or other presentations at direction of supervisors.
  • Prepares reports for internal or client use as needed (e.g. current market conditions, property values, reports on average asking rents, tenants/operator lists in a given market, historical data, and market comparisons, etc.).
  • At the discretion of supervisors or deal leaders, works as a part of deal teams to present and or defend analytic findings to Blueprint’s clients – which may be in person, by telephone, email or other communication.
  • Provides statistical and analytical reports as required in support of management initiatives (i.e. pipeline activity).
  • Gathers and coordinates due diligence materials to be populated in data rooms during a transaction for review amongst buyers or their legal teams.
  • Drafts correspondence to existing and prospective clients (e.g. deliverable submission emails).
  • May be responsible for contributing to quarterly market or industry reports with direction from supervisor or managers.
  • May have some coaching or training responsibilities specific to a defined function performed by the analytic team. There are no formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
  • Participates in local business community or charitable events during group initiatives; participate in industry and professional associations for the purpose of representing the firm or networking.
