Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in criminal justice, the social sciences, business or the behavioral sciences or related experience.
- Two years’ experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data.
- Knowledge of the principles and methodologies used in collection, analysis and presentations of data.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with quality improvement methods and tools.
- Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Must be fluent in English language, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
- Must be a supportive team member, who contributes to and demonstrates teamwork and team concept.
- Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Able to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public, as required for position.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- Continuously conducts complex interpersonal interactions, makes moderately complex decisions, analyzes and solves complex problems, and handles multiple tasks.
- Frequently uses teamwork skills, discretion, and occasionally mentors/trains new employees.

- Knowledge of Correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Health Services Administrator and Director of Nursing in development, implementation and completion of a compliance auditing system.
- Gathering and organizing data from all departments and preparing monthly reports for submission.
- Studying reports, processes and practices to identify areas of concern and working with the Health Services Administrator and Director of Nursing to create quality improvement projects.
- Promoting awareness of key performance indicators through monthly education at all staff meetings and organizing clinics/workshops.
- Reviewing site health care statistical reports to ensure problems are identified and corrective actions taken.
- Completing monthly on-site quality assurance evaluations and submits audits to the regional QI team as scheduled.
- Completing responses to intra-facility grievances and Form-9s within timeframes outlined in KSA and IMPP.
- Completing responses to client inquiries and family inquiries as assigned by Kansas Regional Office and Site Leadership.
- Monitoring staff credentialing for required licensure and training.
- Continually monitoring compliance with key performance indicators outlined in comprehensive healthcare contract.
- Continually reviewing VitalCore medical data and compares with other organizations.
- Assisting staff in the preparation for quality assurance audits.
- Attending training and meetings as required.
- Demonstrating proficiency in all company software required for the position.
- Other duties as assigned.
