About The Position

This position serves as healthcare policy research and analysis support for Mount Nittany Health department of Planning & Business Development. The aim of this role is to provide legislative, public policy and industry analysis support for decision making as it pertains to strategic planning. This is a paid, temporary, part-time position.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and completing first-year prior of undergraduate studies prior to internship start date.
  • None required
  • Conducts business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Mount Nittany Medical Center.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1).
  • Knowledge of with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams is required.
  • None required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of one of the following: PowerBI, R, Python, is preferred
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze legislative and public policy sources to provide insights on emerging healthcare industry trends and regulations.
  • Gathers and organizes data and information to assist in current and on-going projects.
  • Creates reports and policy memos to communicate results and recommendations.
  • Provides support to department projects that enhance the operations of Mount Nittany Health.
