About The Position

Skyrocket Education Services is seeking a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Healthcare/Nursing Teacher to instruct High School students on industry requirements for a successful career path in Healthcare & Nursing. The CTE Teacher is responsible for delivering quality instruction, ensuring student educational progress, and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role focuses on data-driven, results-based instruction within the CTE program.

Ability to teach and delegate responsibility to students.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
Superior organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to synergize with field and corporate staff to implement the educational program.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with students, parents, co-workers, and business contacts.
Working knowledge of MS Office, Google, and database management.
Ability to drive a pickup truck towing a trailer up to 30 ft.
Must hold a valid CA Driver's License.
Ability to clear a driving record screen.
Minimum preliminary CTE credential in Health Science/Medical Technology OR Certified Nurse’s Aide OR Licensed Vocational Nurse OR Registered Nurse with the ability and willingness to obtain a CTE credential.
At least 3 years of industry experience.
INTERN teacher without prelim credential must meet all other requirements and be committed to obtaining credential.

Nice To Haves

Instructor experience is a plus.
Teaching experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Instruct students in specific CTE Pathways using various teaching methods, audiovisual aids, and hands-on materials.
Prepare outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements.
Counsel students on adjustment and academic problems.
Participate in community groups, faculty meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
Communicate with students and parents regarding student progress and issues.
Administer tests to evaluate student progress and assess student work.
Maintain attendance records and student grades.
Assist in maintaining a clean, inviting, and professional learning environment.
Perform other assigned administrative functions and duties.
Create community, college, and business relationships to form partnerships that benefit students and improve course capstones.
Continue to gain industry experience.
