About The Position
The Newark, New Jersey office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care Practices. The attorney will represent healthcare providers and facilities in medical malpractice and long-term care lawsuits. The firm's healthcare clients include hospitals, physicians, nurses, technicians, therapists, mental healthcare counselors, pharmacists, dentists, podiatrists, clinics, convalescent homes, and other industry representatives. The firm handles matters in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings, including medical malpractice cases across numerous specialties and long-term care cases involving allegations such as neglect, wrongful death, falls, pressure injuries, medication errors, and violations of resident rights. The practices include more than 200 attorneys. The position is associated with the firm's Newark office; the listing includes the hashtag #LI-HYBRID.
Requirements
- Admission to practice in New Jersey.
- One to seven years of experience representing healthcare providers and facilities in medical malpractice and long-term care lawsuits.
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-starter.
