About The Position

The Healthcare Linen Delivery Driver assures customer deliveries are accurate, timely, and completed within set time parameters. The driver performs duties safely and courteously while maintaining an unblemished driving record and complying with company policies and DOT requirements, including daily documentation. Responsibilities include handling clean linen deliveries and soiled-linen pickups, completing required paperwork, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of vehicles and equipment. The driver must maintain a neat, professional appearance and follow universal precautions and safety procedures.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that is maintained.
Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 700 pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and possibly holidays.
Maintain required DOT documentation and certification.

Responsibilities

Load and unload linen carts at the company’s and customers’ places of business, tagging each cart accordingly.
Complete all required paperwork and logs and submit them daily.
Weigh all soiled linen under the correct customer and deliver it to the soil room.
Disinfect vehicles after each soiled-linen pickup.
Keep the company vehicle clean and orderly and company equipment clean and organized.
Submit a Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Report daily.
Make customer deliveries accurately and on time.
Follow universal precautions and procedures while on the soil side and follow all safety procedures.
Comply with company policies, attendance requirements, uniform and appearance standards, and DOT requirements and documentation requirements.
Promptly report mechanical issues to the chief engineer.
Report problems or issues related to customer service and satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
