JOB DESCRIPTION Hebrew SeniorLife Position Title: HealthCare Leadership Summer Intern Position code: Job Family: Hourly Location: Roslindale/Newbridge Date Revised: 12.23.2025 Title of Immediate Supervisor: Director of Professional Practice and Education Position Summary: The Healthcare Leadership Summer Intern will positively contribute to the patient experience while participating in learning opportunities that will enhance growth and development as a member of the healthcare team. Responsible for working closely with members of nursing, Summer Interns, and Life Enhancement teams to lead individual and group activities. The Healthcare Leadership Summer Intern must be self-motivated, seeking out opportunities that contribute to the enrichment of patient lives and the unit as a whole. In addition, this individual will be an active participant in the learning and growth opportunities presented throughout the program. The Healthcare Leadership Summer Intern will work closely the Professional Practice and Education team participating in a variety of committee meetings. The Healthcare Leadership Summer Intern will serve as a mentor to the Summer Interns. The Healthcare Summer Intern will identify areas for quality and process improvement. Additionally, they will lead in the implementation of a process improvement project. The internship will be from May-September 2025. undefined Core Competencies: Ability to write and speak effectively, clearly, concisely and professionally. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. undefined Position Responsibilities: The Summer Healthcare Leadership intern will mentor and assist with running and supervising the Summer Interns. Additionally, they are responsible for scheduling, placement, and oversight of the Summer Interns. Collaborate with Life Enhancement to ensure the success of the Summer Interns, help to run unit and facility wide programming, work with patients on an individual basis, and staff the sensory rooms where applicable. Transport patients in wheelchairs to locations such as the hairdresser, activities/concerns, and for one on one time outside. Participate in quality and process improvement projects. Participate in multidisciplinary shadow experiences. Assist Nurse Manager with floor projects, implementation of culture change and other unit-specific needs. Perform other related duties as requested. Actively participate in all presented classroom and simulated learning opportunities. IV Qualifications: Must be a current college student. Must be proficient with computers. Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative to carry out tasks. Must speak and write English fluently.
