About The Position

Accenture is seeking a healthcare technology advisory leader with experience shaping and delivering interoperability, HIE modernization, EHR integration, and health data exchange programs across various healthcare organizations, public sector health agencies, HIEs, payers, providers, and technology partners. The role involves assessing current-state systems, interfaces, workflows, governance, vendor roles, and implementation barriers, and translating this into practical roadmaps and delivery plans. Practical experience with interoperability standards and health IT programs, including FHIR/API enablement, HL7, C-CDA, HIE networks, EHR integration, provider onboarding, identity and consent, privacy and security, and CMS/ONC interoperability priorities is essential. The individual will help clients define requirements, dependencies, governance, partner roles, and sequencing for implementing interoperability and health data exchange priorities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare technology, health IT consulting, healthcare advisory, digital health transformation, Medicaid, public health, provider, payer, HIE, or broader healthcare transformation work
  • Healthcare consulting, advisory, or transformation experience, including client-facing delivery, executive discussions, solution development, and delivery planning
  • Demonstrated interoperability experience applied to HIEs, EHR integration, health information networks, provider connectivity, public health data exchange, or cross-organization health data exchange
  • Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, frameworks, and policy drivers, including FHIR, HL7, C-CDA, APIs, USCDI, HIE networks, CMS interoperability requirements, and ONC priorities
  • Experience supporting or leading HIE strategy, EHR integration planning, API enablement, health data exchange governance, provider onboarding, patient matching, consent, privacy, security, or identity-related work
  • Experience translating business, clinical, policy, operational, and technical requirements into roadmaps, delivery plans, operating models, and implementation priorities
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience connecting health IT and interoperability investments to measurable value, operating model impact, ROI, delivery risk, and financial sustainability
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

  • Experience with Epic, Oracle Health / Cerner, state HIE platforms, health information networks, Medicaid systems, public health systems, or payer interoperability
  • Experience with rural health, RHTP, Medicaid transformation, public health data modernization, CMS interoperability rules, prior authorization modernization, or value-based care enablement
  • Background in clinical informatics, health information management, public health, healthcare operations, Medicaid, payer operations, or provider operations
  • Experience shaping consulting opportunities, business cases, value cases, or delivery models for healthcare transformation programs

Responsibilities

  • Lead interoperability, HIE, EHR integration, and health data exchange advisory work across healthcare organizations and public sector health programs
  • Assess current-state interoperability and health data exchange capabilities across systems, workflows, governance, operations, and technology
  • Develop strategies and roadmaps for HIE modernization, EHR integration, FHIR / API adoption, provider onboarding, public health data exchange, and digital health integration
  • Shape practical recommendations and implementation priorities for complex interoperability and health IT programs
  • Apply commercial and business acumen to shape executive-ready solutions, including scope, value case, operating impact, partner roles, delivery risk, and measurable outcomes
  • Facilitate client workshops and executive discussions across business, clinical, policy, operational, and technology stakeholders
  • Support client development and growth efforts by shaping solution approaches, resourcing needs, implementation sequencing, and executive-ready materials
  • Lead workstreams or engagements from mobilization through delivery, including stakeholder governance, risk management, executive reporting, quality review, and team coordination
