About The Position
Temporary Summer Healthcare Intern position at Olmsted Medical Center. This internship offers students the opportunity to work in various departments including patient care, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Human Resources, or Marketing and Communications. Experiences will include observation and hands-on learning, with patient care experiences supervised by a registered nurse.
Requirements
- Must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or a Minnesota resident enrolled in an out-of-state program.
- Must be enrolled in a two- or four-year healthcare degree program with the intention of completing the program.
Responsibilities
- Work in patient care areas, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Human Resources, or Marketing and Communications.
- Engage in observation and hands-on experiences tailored to each area.
- Undergo direct supervision by a registered nurse for any patient care experiences, respecting patient dignity, uniqueness, personal preferences, and rights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
