The Healthcare Gap Year Program Manager at The Roux Institute is responsible for the development and implementation of the Healthcare Gap Year program. This program, in its fourth year, aims to address Maine's health workforce shortage and provide opportunities for recent college graduates. It connects aspiring healthcare professionals with entry-level positions across Maine, offers participants access to an academic institution, networking, and financial resources (when funding allows), and supplies healthcare partners with motivated individuals for critical entry-level roles such as Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, CNA, Phlebotomist, and Technicians.
