About The Position

Manages the planning, design, construction and maintenance of physical infrastructures. Ensures compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Applies advanced advisory skills or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction and mentors and may supervise team members. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience planning, executing, and monitoring activities concerned with the operation of healthcare environments, facilities, and systems
  • Experience in on-site audits and inspections
  • Experience with regulatory and consensus standards such as National Fire Protection Association and Unified Facilities Criteria and enterprise-level construction management policies and guidance
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment, including construction and engineering operations and associated requirements such as infection prevention and control
  • Ability to problem solve and manage complex projects
  • Ability to provide healthcare facility operations support including organizing, scheduling, and facilitating technical discussions and working groups
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in training development and delivery
  • Experience in key performance indicator (KPI) development, data analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with Federal government agencies such as U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience working in or with VA healthcare facilities
  • Possession of effective oral and written communication skills
  • Construction Manager (CCM) Certification
  • Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) Certification
