About The Position

We are seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join a supportive team serving patients and healthcare members in a hospital-affiliated environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a customer-focused setting. As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist members and providers by handling inbound calls, responding to inquiries, documenting interactions, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You'll work closely with a small, collaborative team and play a key role in supporting important healthcare programs and services.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Experience working in a healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environment preferred
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Typing proficiency of at least 40 WPM.
Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Answer inbound calls from members and providers with professionalism and empathy.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
Accurately document all customer interactions across multiple systems.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize customer needs and concerns.
Educate callers on available programs, services, and benefits.
Research and resolve problems while adhering to established procedures.
Maintain customer satisfaction by partnering with internal departments when needed.
Escalate complex issues and follow through to resolution.
Meet established quality, productivity, and attendance expectations.
Utilize various computer applications to process information and maintain records.
