About The Position

TekSystems is currently hiring for a fully remote Medical Customer Service/Medical Billing Representative. This position is on EST and would prefer someone to live somewhat close to MD. The role involves responding to customer inquiries regarding patient accounts, assisting in resolving issues and concerns, and maintaining professional and courteous behavior to ensure a positive image and promote customer satisfaction. The representative will also assist management with training new hires. They will be going over billing issues and EOBs with patients over the phone, requiring an understanding of what an EOB is, the ability to explain insurance payments and patient balances, and a grasp of the medical billing process.

Requirements

• Medical claims, medical billing, or medical customer service with billing knowledge experience.
• Understand EOB's.
• Ability to work EST time zone.
• Associates or Bachelors degree or CPAT certification.
• Detailed working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in multiple payers application billing and/or collection processes, with particular focus on billing specifically.
• Understand and be able to read an EOB.
• Understand what medical insurance is and know how to explain what insurance does.
• Excellent patient customer service experience.
• Fully understand the medical billing process.

Nice To Haves

• CPAT certified is a plus.
