The Healthcare Cost Reporting Manager will manage the Accounts Receivable and Cost Reporting functions for The HealthCare System. This role is responsible for reporting on hospital and professional accounts receivable performance, reimbursement analysis, denial and collection trends, governmental and commercial payer receivables, Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, supplemental payment programs, and regulatory reimbursement reporting at the organization and service line level. The position provides leadership and reporting direction to identify trends in collection of receivables and optimization of cash flow while leading accurate reimbursement reporting and regulatory compliance. The manager will develop reporting tools, analytics, and identify operational processes that improve collections, reduce aged accounts receivable balances, strengthen reimbursement accuracy, and maximize financial performance related to service line execution. This role also involves developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that support leadership decision-making and improve visibility into collection performance and reimbursement trends. The manager will analyze payer performance, collection barriers, denial patterns, underpayments, and reimbursement opportunities, recommending operational improvements and action plans. Additionally, the role oversees the preparation, coordination, review, and audit support for Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental cost reports, coordinating reimbursement activities with various stakeholders. The manager will manage reimbursement analyses related to Medicare settlement estimates, Medicaid reimbursement programs, DSH, UPL, supplemental payment programs, bad debt reimbursement, uncompensated care funding, and other regulatory reimbursement programs. Monitoring changing reimbursement regulations and communicating financial impact assessments to leadership is also a key responsibility, as is developing reimbursement forecasts and supporting budgeting, long-range planning, and financial projections.
