About The Position

UPMC Touchstone Medical Imaging is opening soon in Butler, Pennsylvania, offering cost-effective and convenient outpatient diagnostic imaging services. This joint venture between UPMC and Touchstone Medical Imaging, a national leader in outpatient imaging, aims to provide comprehensive medical imaging in a single location. The Center Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and effective services to imaging patients and their families in a high-complexity center. This role involves fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, overseeing daily activities, patient flow, operations, clinical procedures, and staff performance. The manager will also participate in short-term and long-range planning and business development.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a licensed Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practitioner Provider)
  • Business management experience
  • Knowledge of financial acumen and ability to manage P&L
  • Graduate level education
  • Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trends
  • Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision making
  • Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results
  • Ability to effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Manages center(s) within a single geographic area
  • Maintains positive working relationships with joint venture partnerships, if applicable
  • Acts as the owner of the P&L with responsibility for escalating issues and concerns
  • Develops, reviews, and implements action plans based on financial reporting to enhance center performance
  • Attends training to stay up to date on best practices and protocols
  • Implements and manages the training and onboarding program for new associates
  • Participates in the staff planning and hiring process for new associates
  • Leads regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones
  • Monitors and approves timecards on a daily or weekly basis
  • Leads, initiates, and participates in annual performance evaluations, development and performance management of associates
  • Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
  • Evaluates, implements, and manages workflow and process improvements for the department
  • Ensures the department has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
  • Supports employees ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Develops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance
