This internship role is for Spring 2028 and focuses on Healthcare Audit and Accounting. At Wipfli, people are core to everything they do, emphasizing flexibility, relationships, and individual paths. This role requires an in-person work arrangement, meaning regular work in a Wipfli office or at client sites, which can be local, regional, or national. Scheduled meetings at client sites and in the office require in-person attendance. Interns will utilize their educational knowledge to perform accounting responsibilities in audit or financial accounting, including responding to client and firm associate requests, gathering necessary information, using data analysis for insights and recommendations, and identifying process improvement opportunities. Specific to Healthcare Audit & Accounting, interns will perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures, communicate with engagement leaders about open items, and prepare financial statements and footnotes. They will also develop technical competency with GAAP, particularly related to the assigned product line, and assist the team with Medicare, Medicaid, and Medical Cost Report Reimbursement.
