About The Position

The Thrasher Group is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a proven track record of project success across the Mid-Atlantic region. Our multidisciplinary team delivers professional services to clients in five core markets: architecture, land development, water resources, transportation, and energy. We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Licensed Healthcare Architect to join our Bridgeport or Charleston, WV office. The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, brings deep knowledge of healthcare facility design, and is eager to grow and lead a team of professionals. Requirements

  • NCARB Registered Architect required
  • Minimum 5 years of related architectural experience
  • Knowledge of FGI Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities
  • Familiarity with local codes and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Proficiency managing client, owner, and contractor relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and time management skills to keep projects on schedule and on budget
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior staff
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Periodic travel to project sites required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Revit a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the project design team across all phases of design
  • Prepare original architectural design layouts, details, drawings, and specifications
  • Review architectural documents for conflicts across all disciplines
  • Coordinate and integrate architectural design work with other engineering disciplines
  • Apply critical thinking to evaluate, select, and implement design techniques appropriate to each project
