About The Position

The Healthcare Advocate will research and identify available healthcare options for members using the care navigation platform. This role involves coordinating services such as imaging (MRI, CT, ultrasound), physical therapy, surgeries, and other medical services. The advocate will communicate with healthcare providers via outbound calls, email, and fax to confirm availability, services, and requirements. Additionally, they will review medical documentation and fax clinical notes or paperwork when required. The position also requires working with out-of-network providers to pursue single case agreements when in-network options are unavailable. The Healthcare Advocate will provide accurate benefit information to members by researching plan details within internal systems and communicate professionally with members via phone and email on a daily basis. This role demands the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through, with the expectation to work independently after training, seeking guidance when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in a healthcare administrative or patient‑facing role (doctor’s office, hospital, front office, insurance‑focused customer service, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with providers and reviewing medical documentation
