Requirements

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, public administration, business administration, or an equivalent degree, within three (3) months as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.
  • Applicants with an MBA or MPA must have either a minimum of nine health care-specific credit hours or at least six months of health care work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete immersive departmental rotations to gain broad exposure and knowledge of hospital and ambulatory operations while building a network of contacts.
  • Lead projects and teams to solve business problems and drive innovative solutions through the utilization of project management and change management processes and tools.
  • Gain practical experience in a variety of administrative activities in preparation for leadership.
  • Participate in collaborative mentorship with senior executive leaders.
  • Serve in an interim leadership role as opportunities arise.
  • Demonstrate inclusive leadership and the Culture of Yes behaviors while leading and working with others to accomplish the MU Health Care mission.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
