About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring Healthcare Access Control Specialists for HH Health System Huntsville Hospital's main campus. This role combines customer service, visitor management, and security responsibilities to help maintain a safe, secure, and positive healthcare environment. As a Healthcare Access Control Specialist, you will serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients, visitors, employees, and guests. You will assist visitors, issue visitor credentials, monitor access points, provide directions, answer questions, and support hospital staff by ensuring access control procedures are followed.

Requirements

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
Ability to walk, stand, and perform routine foot patrols during assigned shifts
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Must be at least 21 years of age
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license required
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Successfully complete required training program

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by performing general security duties.
Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and guests with professionalism and empathy
Verify identification and issue visitor credentials through electronic access systems
Monitor and control access points throughout the facility
Provide directions and answer questions for visitors and staff
Observe and report safety concerns, incidents, or suspicious activity
Conduct routine foot patrols as needed
Complete required documentation and reports accurately
Follow all DSI and Huntsville Hospital policies, procedures, and post instructions
Promote a safe, secure, and customer-focused environment
