About The Position

The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS), in partnership with the Health and Physical Education department, seeks a Physical Education & Wellness Teacher for the 25-26 school year. Wellness Teachers report directly to the Coordinator of Health, Physical Education and Wellness, the department lead teacher and small learning community administrator to which they are assigned. It is the responsibility of all Wellness Teachers to teach Wellness education according to the SHAPE America National PE Standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Required Massachusetts Certification in 5-12 Physical Education
• Required Massachusetts Certification in K-12 Health and Family/Consumer Science
• Experience leading instruction in multicultural and urban community settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a diverse staff and student body.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• Successful teaching experience in an urban setting is preferred.
• Experience and/or education in: secondary Health and Physical Education.

Responsibilities

• Teach Wellness education according to the SHAPE America National PE Standards.
