Health & Wellness Specialist (On-Site EMT/Medic)
About The Position

We’re looking for a proactive Health & Wellness Specialist (On-Site Medic) to support the safety and well-being of jobsite workers through injury prevention, on-site medical support, and coordination with clinical teams. This is a unique opportunity to work independently in the field while being backed by a supportive clinical team. The role involves conducting patient assessments, administering first aid, and providing guided treatment under provider direction. It also includes supporting comprehensive case management through patient follow-ups, referrals, and ongoing care coordination. The specialist will foster strong relationships with patients, on-site staff, and healthcare providers, serve as a resource for psychosocial support using a peer support model, and lead proactive injury prevention initiatives like “stretch and flex” programs and ergonomic coaching. Accurate documentation in the EHR system, maintaining the on-site medical facility, and collaborating with jobsite safety teams are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
- 3–4 years in emergency, occupational, military medicine, or similar field
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to walk the jobsite for up to 5 hours daily.
- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

- Support comprehensive case management through patient follow-ups, referrals, and ongoing care coordination.
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with patients, on-site staff, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal care and communication.
- Serve as a resource for psychosocial support, applying a peer support model to assist site personnel.
- Lead proactive injury prevention initiatives, including “stretch and flex” programs and ergonomic coaching.
- Accurately document patient interactions and care in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure the on-site medical facility remains clean, organized, and fully stocked with essential supplies.
- Collaborate with jobsite safety teams by supporting orientations, trainings, and additional assignments.
