About The Position

The Health & Wellness Manager manages the health and wellness center at the Flint Hills Job Corps Center in Manhattan, Kansas. The center provides medical care for students and children, sick call, infirmary coverage, environmental health services, and physical examinations in compliance with government and management directives. The manager oversees coordinated health care and related programs, basic and emergency care, case management, and special health programs, while monitoring contractual compliance and service effectiveness.

Requirements

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
Three years of related experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Manage and conduct coordinated health care for students and implement health-related programs, including medical, oral health, mental health, and substance abuse services.
Ensure chronic care management for students with chronic illnesses.
Provide and monitor basic health care services, emergency care services, and student case management.
Regularly review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness of services, and prepare related reports.
Screen medical patients for the center physician, vocational rehabilitation, and follow-up medical care.
Manage records and reports concerning student injuries, diseases, and disabilities.
Provide direction and technical services for pregnancy, mental health, and other health-related special programs.
