About The Position
We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for our Long-Term Care Facility! Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are essential
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills including ability to read, write, and speak English
- Knowledge of Achieve/Matrix computer applications for health information systems
- Basic knowledge of computers, including word processing skills
- High School diploma
Nice To Haves
- Health Unit Coordinator certificate or comparable work experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Organizing and performing all functions related to maintaining accurate and complete resident health information.
- Performing data entry functions including entering resident information into the computer and generating reports as required.
- Performing non-direct care tasks according to facility procedures.
- Developing and maintaining a tracking system for physicians and other outside providers of care to ensure quality resident care.
- Maintaining the stock of nursing supplies, including forms and stationary, according to established guidelines.
