About The Position

Under supervision, this position is a key multi-skilled position within the units. It collaborates with team members to coordinate unit activities and the flow of information between teams and other entities. This role coordinates and facilitates the movement of patients through the work area. It provides technical support to the department by maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, and stocking all areas that require equipment. The Health Unit Coordinator maintains a safe, hazard-free, and clean environment that facilitates quality patient-focused care. Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Terminology course within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacology Coursework/Training
• Satisfactory completion of Health Unit Coordinator training.
• Certification by the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators
• 6 months Experience in health care activities or institutional setting.
