Health Unit Coordinator - Emergency Department
About The Position
Brookings Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Health Unit Coordinator to join their team. This position combines clerical and customer service skills and requires an individual who is attentive to detail, has knowledge of medical terminology, and demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills. The Health Unit Coordinator registers emergency department (ED) patients in a timely and courteous manner and assists with patient care under the direct and indirect supervision of RN staff. They must demonstrate an ability to use good judgment for maintaining confidentiality, solving problems, and working well under stress.
