About The Position

Health Teacher – Catholic Central High School – Grand Rapids, MI Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year – Fall At Catholic Central, we believe a great Catholic education begins with the people who deliver it – the talent, the dedication, and the faith of our teachers. We are seeking a Health Teacher who brings strong content knowledge, a student-centered approach, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students. Requirements

  • Hold (or are eligible for) appropriate Michigan teaching certification in Health Education (MA, MX, MC, KH)
  • Are organized, engaging, and relational in your approach to teaching

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction rooted in health and wellness education
  • Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, self-awareness, and health decision-making
  • Teach topics related to physical, mental, emotional, and social wellness in age-appropriate and meaningful ways
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen instruction and support student success
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to support and measure student growth
  • Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom through availability and mentorship
  • Contribute to the broader school community through involvement beyond the classroom
  • Participate actively in professional development and school-wide initiatives
