About The Position

As the Health Systems Improvement Manager in the Office of Health Innovation & Quality, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), your responsibilities will include serving as the agency manager to evaluate Medicaid’s programs and initiatives for children to transform health systems through partnership with Ohio’s Medicaid Institutional and non-institutional providers supporting children. This role involves conducting program development, program analysis and comparative studies to determine the impact of Medicaid children’s initiatives. You will also be responsible for evaluating goal achievement of providers participating in programs (e.g. state directed payments) designed to improve health outcomes to Ohio’s most vulnerable populations, specifically children. Additionally, you will provide strategic oversight of policies and procedures governing state directed payments for providers of services to children and other similar programs, and analyze and interpret federal and state regulations, rules and laws to ensure program compliance.

Requirements

• Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance
• 12 months experience in the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis)
• 12 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Specialist, 65293
• Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure
• Must provide own transportation. Or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
