Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, working towards a health credential, or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), to be completed within two years of hire (required)
  • Experience working with young children (required)
  • Experience in the health and nutrition field

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree, LPN, RPN (preferred)
  • 2+ years experience with children and families(preferred)
  • 2+ years experience with health and nutrition (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete health, dental, mental health, and nutrition screenings within the required timeline.
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents and support parents as they complete the required immunizations and other medical and dental follow-up procedures for their children.
  • Maintain first aid and pediatric CPR certification and provide first aid when necessary.
  • Promote health and safety practices within the program by implementing and monitoring health and hygiene practices in classrooms and the center.
