Requirements
- A registered nurse who is a graduate of an accredited school with a current state license required.
- A current Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or the ability to obtain one per Rule 21) with an endorsement in Health Education, Health and Physical Education, or Family and Consumer Sciences required.
- Minimum of five years nursing experience required.
- Properly endorsed and certified required.
- Must complete required safety and restraint training
Responsibilities
- Teach high school health services courses focused on CNA track curriculum
- Develop and implement lesson plans for daily and long-term instruction
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
- Assess and evaluate student performance, behavior, and progress
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents and staff
- Support extracurricular activities and foster a positive classroom environment
- Actively engage in a classroom setting and support student needs
