About The Position

The City of Berkeley is seeking a Health Services Supervisor to join the Health, Housing and Community Services (HHCS) Department! In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations of health clinics and/or complex health programs. You will have a high degree of accountability and on-going decision-making responsibility for assigned programs in the Public Health Division. The current available position supports the operational infrastructure and day-to-day fiscal management across the Public Health Division. With a funding mix of special funds, time studied reimbursement, matching funds, Medi-Cal billable reimbursement, and General Fund, this position is essential in the monitoring and maximizing revenue, Division-wide expenditure tracking, and annual budget planning and analysis.

Requirements

• Equivalent to graduation from a college or university with major coursework in public health, nursing, psychology, health education or a closely related field.
• Five (5) years of experience as a health professional in a public health agency.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience, which has included budget and program development.
• Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities.
• Maintenance of a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required when driving on City business.
• Must be willing to work evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities
