About The Position
Wichita Presbyterian Manor is seeking a Health Services RN to join their team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the daily nursing activities performed by LPNs and nursing assistants, adhering to all federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The position emphasizes a resident-first approach, valuing the community as the resident's home and promoting person-centered care.
Requirements
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
- Must possess a current active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care community or other related health care facility.
- Geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct nursing care to residents.
- Supervising the day to day nursing activities performed by LPNs and nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community.
- Advancing the value that the resident comes first.
- Creating attributes of home and modeling person centered care.
