About The Position

Fred Lind Manor, located in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a Health Services Director to join their team. The Health Services Director will supervise all healthcare personnel, including hiring, training, evaluating, and counseling. This includes overseeing the medication room, LPNs, Nursing Assistants, Medication Assistants/CMAs, and Health Services Associates. The position involves planning, implementing, and scheduling nursing services, providing emergency interventions, and maintaining medical charting and documentation according to state regulations and corporate policies. The Health Services Director will also assess residents for changes in care levels, coordinate billing, administer and coordinate medications, serve as the community's Registered Nurse, and manage medication orders and refills. Collaboration with residents and families to develop care plans, assistance with medical appointments and transportation, and participation in on-call duty rotation are key aspects of the role. Occasional supervision of licensed nurses and nurse's aides may be required. The role also involves promoting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state of employment.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Nursing.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a consulting role on a regional and facility level.
  • Strong leadership and teaching skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Lifts up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Carries up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Pushes and pulls up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Climbs, reaches, bends, and twists occasionally
  • Talks and listens occasionally
  • Sits 4 hours per day; stands and walks 4 hours per day (combined) – 8-hour day

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all healthcare personnel to include hiring, training, evaluating and counseling within established policies and procedures.
  • Supervises medication room, the LPN, Nursing Assistant, Medication Assistant/CMA, and Health Services Associate.
  • Plans, implements, supervises, and schedules nursing services.
  • Provides intervention to respond to emergencies and problems.
  • Maintains medical charting and required documentation under scope state regulatory guidelines for appropriate licensing and corporate policies.
  • Assesses residents for change in level of care and coordinate billing for that level of care.
  • Administers and coordinates medications of residents, serve as community’s Registered Nurse, order medication and refills.
  • Works closely with residents and families to develop & implement appropriate care plans.
  • Assists residents in medical appointments and coordinate required transportation.
  • Participates in rotation of on-call duty.
  • On occasion, may supervise licensed nurses and nurse’s aides.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
