About The Position

Marquis Companies is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Community Based HSD In-Training program. This program offers in-depth training prior to placement in a facility, aiming to make new employees feel confident in their role as administrator, responsible for the safety and security of residents and team members. The training program takes place at an Assisted Living facility in the Portland Metro Area. This paid, full-time position includes training on all shifts to learn clinical health services and RN delegations within Community based care. Upon completion, graduates will be ready for a full-time RN HSD position within Marquis Companies as opportunities arise. As a Health Services Director (RN) - Assisted Living Facility, your Nursing and Leadership skills will be used to ensure quality care and direct the Health Services Department. Responsibilities include clinical health services coordination and delegation of nursing tasks to non-certified staff in Assisted Living.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed RN for the appropriate State

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a nursing supervisor is preferred
  • Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and/or Home Health Nursing experience is strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Delegate nursing tasks as allowed under applicable state nursing laws and practice acts, communicating regularly with residents, their families, and their health care practitioners.
  • Collaborate with assigned staff and support personnel to plan the shift services, programs, and activities within the facility.
  • Participates in the implementation of the resident care planning process to comply with resident needs and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Perform assessments on the health, functional and psychosocial status of each resident.
  • Communicate regularly with residents’ families regarding health care needs.
  • Direct the delivery of in-services/staff development programs that contribute to meeting nursing objectives and standards and comply with all state and federal regulations.
  • Ensures that the department is adequately staffed to provide quality care to residents by participating in the recruitment and selection of personnel.
