About The Position

This position serves as the senior business development leader for Turner & Townsend's Healthcare practice across the Southeast. This individual will be responsible for driving market growth, cultivating strategic client partnerships with health system executives, and positioning the firm for early introduction to major healthcare capital programs. The regional leadership teams retain profit and loss ownership and delivery accountability. The successful candidate will combine industry expertise, executive leadership capability, and business development acumen to position Turner & Townsend as the partner of choice for health systems, academic medical centers, specialty providers, developers, and healthcare stakeholders throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, client development, capital program consulting, or related professional services.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale healthcare capital programs and executive client relationships.
  • Proven track record of business development, revenue growth, and market expansion.
  • An established network of C-suite relationships across Southeast health systems, with a demonstrated ability to convert relationships into negotiated and repeat work.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and complex organizational initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, fee structuring, and pursuit economics.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, delivery models, regulatory considerations, and capital planning processes.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Southeast region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Southeast regional growth strategy aligned with Turner & Townsend's national healthcare objectives.
  • Establish annual business development plans, pipeline targets, and bookings goals for the region.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and excellence in pursuit of growth.
  • Drive organizational growth through strategic market expansion and service diversification.
  • Identify emerging healthcare trends and position the firm to capitalize on future opportunities.
  • Serve as the senior executive responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with C-suite health system executives, owners, developers, and industry influencers.
  • Lead pursuits, proposals, executive presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Cultivate relationships that position the firm for early introduction and sole-source or negotiated award on large hospital campus capital programs.
  • Expand existing client relationships while cultivating new business opportunities across the Southeast.
  • Represent Turner & Townsend at industry conferences, professional organizations, and executive leadership forums.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that enhance market presence and long-term growth.
  • Ensure a seamless handoff from pursuit to the regional delivery teams on major healthcare capital programs.
  • Maintain the senior client relationship through delivery, monitoring client satisfaction and surfacing new opportunities.
  • Partner with regional project leaders to protect the client relationship and identify follow-on work.
  • Help attract and mentor business development and seller-doer talent.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Provide coaching and business development mentorship to seller-doers and emerging client leaders.
