Health and Safety Representative
About The Position

We are seeking a Health & Safety Representative to join our team and play a key role in supporting, strengthening, and advancing our safety culture across the operation. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about safety, enjoys working directly with crews in the field, and brings both analytical capability and strong communication skills to the table. As a Health & Safety Representative, you will serve as a resource and leader in safety-related matters across the site. This is a highly visible, field-oriented role where you will spend the majority of time in the field, engaging directly with employees, contractors, and leadership.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant safety experience with demonstrated leadership and project involvement
- Working knowledge of MSHA regulations (30 CFR) and safety compliance practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- Ability to analyze data and apply sound reasoning to solve problems
- Valid clean Driver’s License required
Nice To Haves
- Experience delivering training or facilitating group discussions preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead or support investigations involving incidents, near-misses, and injuries
- Analyze safety data and trends to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with MSHA and applicable state regulations
- Work directly with employees and supervisors to coach and reinforce safe work practices
- Facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and onboarding programs
- Support and participate in regulatory inspections alongside management
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and field safety interactions
- Assist in coordinating required training programs (Annual Refresher, New Hire, Hazard Training)
- Contribute to emergency response preparedness and support the site MERT team
