About The Position

The EHS Risk & Compliance Manager is a hands-on health and safety professional responsible for supporting safe operations across Caesarstone’s Canadian distribution centres. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role focuses on warehouse and transport safety, hazard identification, and ensuring the organization meets all federal, provincial, and territorial occupational health and safety obligations. The position maintains and continually improves an integrated risk management system that demonstrates due diligence and supports consistent, compliant operations. The role requires strong people leadership to build trust, engagement, and accountability, as well as change leadership capability to embed sustainable risk and compliance improvements across the organization.

Requirements

  • Formal EHS qualification (e.g., CRSP or equivalent)
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, and transport safety environments
  • Proven expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian OHS legislation (BC, AB, ON, QC focus)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Train-the-Trainer certification (highly desirable)
  • Forklift & overhead crane certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Interpret federal, provincial, and territorial OHS laws and turn them into practical safety measures.
  • Maintain and enhance our integrated hazard identification and risk management system.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and support compliance assurance activities.
  • Advise operational leaders to meet due diligence obligations.
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments across warehouse and transport operations.
  • Review and maintain safe work procedures (SWPs) and SOPs.
  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC) initiatives to ensure safe implementation of new equipment or processes.
  • Embed risk controls into operational planning and daily operations.
  • Lead or support investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and property damage.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Track trends and provide insights to continuously improve safety performance.
  • Deliver practical safety training for warehouse and transport teams.
  • Conduct driver assessments and operational safety reviews.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance across all sites.
  • Partner with distribution centre managers, warehouse teams, transport providers, and administrative personnel to support safe operations.
  • Support Health and Safety Committees and worker consultation activities.
