Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety-related role (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations (OSHA and related standards)
  • Experience managing safety programs, audits, and incident investigations
  • Knowledge of risk assessment methods and hazard control practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient with computer systems and safety reporting tools
  • Self-directed with the ability to take initiative and operate independently
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and manage workplace safety programs to create a safe and healthy working environment
  • Identify, eliminate, or control hazardous conditions related to human behavior, equipment, and machinery
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards
  • Develop, review, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards
  • Plan, organize, and manage safety activities and budgets (including PPE and safety incentive programs)
  • Establish site safety goals, objectives, and performance tracking systems
  • Investigate safety incidents, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluate workplace health and safety programs
  • Lead safety audits (internal and external) and ensure proper documentation and follow-up
  • Manage safety training programs, including scheduling, tracking, and completion
  • Maintain all required safety logs and reporting for site operations
  • Lead and support emergency response programs and site safety committees
  • Oversee medical surveillance programs and first response team coordination
  • Provide guidance on safety requirements related to facility, equipment, and process changes
  • Collaborate with leadership, employees, and external partners to drive safety initiatives
  • Partner closely with Environmental & Sustainability teams
  • Promote strong safety culture through coaching, training, and employee engagement
