The HSE Corporate Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability (HESA) activities within the facility to ensure compliance with company standards, legal requirements, audits, continuous improvement objectives and plant coverage as needed for vacations and maintenance interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, HSE, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in heavy industry, steel, metals, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial risk management practices.
  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, corrective actions, and safety management systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Corporate teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Corporate HESA and site leadership to support implementation and continuous improvement of the HESA management system.
  • Monitor hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support development and execution of annual HESA action plans, objectives, and reporting metrics.
  • Ensure HESA procedures and standards are maintained, communicated, and effectively implemented.
  • Audit compliance with OSHA, environmental, and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate HESA meetings, awareness campaigns, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives and contractors.
  • Liaison with customer, contractor, and stakeholder HESA requirements and communications.
  • Analyze trends, statistics, and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement via, reports, excel, decipher procedures to match local, state or federal regulations or BI dashboards, etc.
  • Promote proper use of Company HESA systems, reporting tools, and procedures.
  • Support leadership development, employee coaching, and a positive safety culture across operations.
