About The Position

In this role, you will develop and sustain systems to drive compliance, fatality prevention and injury reduction. You will act as a key health and safety liaison with location manufacturing, maintenance & engineering departments to assist in the execution of their strategic and tactical health and safety plans. You will analyze injury and incident data and assist line management in the implementation of focused injury reduction efforts. You will provide expertise to proactively address injury reduction efforts, technical expertise and participate in injury/incident investigations to assist in identifying root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. You will assume leadership of the location’s industrial hygiene program including execution of IH sampling plans, the administration of IH databases and employee exposure records and hazardous material management. You will serve as a resource for the location’s industrial ventilation SPA to ensure IH exposure levels are maintained at acceptable levels. You will select and manage PPE requirements. You will assist with the completion of designated health and safety ASAT audit protocols and overall process. You will maintain working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety regulations and identify all requirements that apply or may apply to the facility. You will develop, review and facilitate Health & Safety related training. You will assess, evaluate, eliminate / minimize risks collaboratively with employees using technical knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. You will assist in investigations of health and safety incidents, root cause analysis, entry into databases and item closure tracking. You will coordinate the development of systems to ensure metrics are accurate and timely per Arconic guidelines. You will assist in implementing Human Performance systems. You will participate in continuing professional education, staying current and competent in the respective Health & Safety profession through seminars, courses, literature review, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior Alcoa/Arconic Health & Safety experience
  • Previous Occupational Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Health & Safety programs
  • Industrial Hygiene experience
  • Experience with Behavior Based Safety programs
  • Experience with Ergonomic assessments
  • Experience with Power BI or advanced Excel analytics.
  • Experience or exposure to: OSHA standards and Manufacturing or industrial environments

Benefits

  • Base Salary - USD $65,000 to $75,000
